Hello!
After another lovely fair at Leeds Corn exchange with Reet Sweet, who were once again lovely and a fun couple of hours at Broadgate Primary School Christmas Cracker, which was rather successful, I've cooled off from fairs until 2011. Fear not, I have put some more lovely things on my Folksy Shop! Please take a look and if there's anything you've seen at my stalls which isn't online, and you're interested in please get in touch.

I've been under the weather for the last two days and my kitty has had a little operation today, so must speed up and finish my Christmas shopping asap! I'll be working solidly from now til Chrsitmas.
I love love love Christmas and will hopefully enjoy a lovely break, rest and have time to craft craft craft!

MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE! SEE YOU IN 2011!

Remember November

This last month has been pretty busy. I took a trip to London last weekend, went in some lovely shops including, of course Ryan Town, had breakfast on a city farm, saw a friends band in Shoreditch and ate some lovely food, all with my lovely old friend. It was my Dad's 50th and work's been crazy!
I also took part in a last minute craft fair on November 7th at Leeds Corn exchange, organised and perfectly set up by Rebecca of Reet Sweet Crafts. This fair was by far the best I've done and I'd love for any of you who are free to call down on December 5th (what else is there to do on a Sunday?) and have a look at my stall and others 11am-4pm. It's such a friendly and festive group!

I'm also going to be taking party in my nephew's Christmas Cracker School fair for a bit of fun!
I've added some new links to my page of some lovely talented people who are definately worth looking at.

Also please take a look at my folksy shop! If you're interested in any commisions or items you've seen at my stalls and didn't purchase, email me and I'll try my best to help!

The fair promises to showcase various crafts from painters to textile artists and has a lovely tea room with cupcakes and tea! The fair is held at Riddings Hall, Christchurch, see below for map!

I will have some lovely new items ready for Christmas and old favourites too!
If you're able to make it that'd be great - get in touch for more info! If not please check our my folksy shop and have a gander!

Autumn

It's autumn already - I love this time of year! Recently, I've been spending time finishing things off. There are some more lovely little items in my folksy shop including character badges and more dogs. I have been featured on the folksy front page and on two lovely blogs. It's always lovely to hear people commenting on your makes - so thanks guys!
I'm trying to think of Christmas ideas and looking out for more craft fairs, so if anyone hears of any in West Yorkshire please do let me know! Work will be very busy over the coming months, so craft fairs will be harder to take part in. I will probably put a lot on folksy etc.
My lovely and bestest boy Luke is 8 years old on Sunday. I'm making his present in the next few days - can't belive my nephew is so old already! He's great fun and very unique with his quirkiness - so happy birthday luke for Sunday. I'll be at his party and most probably building up lots of lego with/for him!
Here's a few things from my folksy shop and a few things to come:

Lovely weather...

I do wonder why the weather could not be this warm on Saturday! Today was gorgeous weather, ideal for a trip to Harewood House. Saturday however, was very windy and cold! The Pannier Market was blown away! The wind meant chasing things around, holding onto things and generally panicking over random gusts of wind and showers! Putting this aside the fair was a huge success proving busier than last time in terms of interest and sales.

I had some help from lovely friends and got chatting to some lovely crafters! sadly that's the last Pannier market for this year. I have a fair this Saturday at 'Angels Share', a bar in Chapel Allerton as part of their self titled 'Arts Festival'. There will be music, food, drink and more and the fair is from 12-5 - hope to see you there!

In other news, I took myself off to Harewood House today for a meeting. The weather was great and the meet went well. The gift shop will be selling a small range of my crafts (including owls, cupcakes, dogs and more) from october. This may lead to more exciting products as well. The location is gorgeous, scenery picturesque and the pretty birds were a treat.

All in all lots going on!

A few snaps from Harewood!

Today was the day of Craft Candy Minis fair at Bungalows & Bears, where I held a stall for the afternoon. The venue was great, such a lovely and quirky place. It wasn't as busy as expected, but fun was had and I sold a good few items and had a lot of interest. My brother and two good friends came along to help too!
The other stalls were lovely especially Sarah Waterhouse and her lovely printed textiles!

Here's a few photos:

Don't forget I am available for commission and I will shortly be updating my etsy/folksy shops!

julia pott

Julia Pott is one of my favourite illustrator/animators. Her work is so lovely, quirky and just adorable. You should take a look at her wonderful work and etsy shop! Her use of modern day concepts mixed with humanised animals is fantastic and not to be missed!
